The Arc of Steuben Foundation
The establishment of a foundation was a long-term goal of Arc of Steuben's Services Support division. In 1997, the agency's Board of Directors became actively involved in making that goal a reality. The Arc of Steuben Foundation will raise funds to support the organization's services to people with disabilities and their families.
One of the primary goals of the Foundation was to establish an endowment fund to secure the future of services to people served by the Arc of Steuben. This was accomplished recently. Foundations are noted for utilizing creative fund development vehicles like endowments, planned giving programs, and memorial funds. Informational materials regarding charitable planned giving are available, and seminars will be offered.
A grant from the Fred & Harriet Taylor Foundation made it possible for the Arc of Steuben Foundation to begin operation. We gratefully acknowledge the foundation's support of people with disabilities.
