Crisis Support
Crisis support is available for individuals with a developmental disability who reside with family, independently in the community, or with a roommate. Crisis is defined as a situation when an individual or family is in need of additional support to cope with a stressful situation. The support is provided in the person’s home, community, school, or day program. Trained professionals will provide an immediate response to a crisis situation and assist the person and/or family to develop a plan of action. The Crisis Support program’s trained professionals can complete behavioral assessments and develop plans for individuals to be implemented by families and primary caregivers.
There is a 24-hour Crisis Hotline – (800) 383-2231
