The Residential Services Division provides a variety of supervised and supportive living opportunities.  Currently, we have thirteen homes and six supportive apartments located throughout Steuben County.  All of our residential living opportunities provide a home environment designed to support people in achieving their life goals.  Individuals may choose to live in a particular home for a short time and then move to one of our other homes or choose to live long term in one home or apartment.

Supervised Residences provide a home environment for people who are learning and improving self-care, domestic, recreational, and social skills. Each home provides 24-hour support and guidance.  There are currently four larger residences and nine smaller homes.  Each provides an environment that promotes and encourages independence, integration, individualization, and productivity.

Supportive Apartments offer a more independent living atmosphere for individuals.  Assistance and support is provided according to individual needs, up to twenty-one hours each week per person.

The residential program has a strong commitment to continuous improvement and person directed planning.  Education, support, strategic goals, and self-monitoring assessments are just a few of the methods used to continually enhance and improve service delivery.

The goal of all the homes is to provide services based upon each person's specific interests and needs and to foster relationship building. There is a strong focus on assisting residents in achieving their personal outcomes and in becoming active participants of their community.  We provide individualized education and assistance so that people realize their goals, dreams, and full potential in a positive atmosphere of encouragement and achievement.
